Garret T. Willie

Blues-rock with teeth — raw, restless, and impossible to look away.
Red Bird Brewing welcomes Garret T. Willie for a powerful night of live blues-rock on Thursday, April 16th, with music running from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. This is a free show and a rare chance to catch one of Canada’s most compelling young blues artists in an intimate room.
Garret T. Willie’s music is rooted in legacy, grit, and reinvention. His sophomore album Bill’s Cafe — named after his grandfather’s pool hall café in Alert Bay, BC — bridges Indigenous roots and small-town stories with the fire of Nashville blues-rock. Recorded under the guidance of Grammy-winning producer Tom Hambridge, the record captures a young artist carrying old-soul traditions into something louder, bolder, and undeniably his own.
On stage, Willie is electric. With a towering presence, gravel-soaked vocals, and searing guitar work, his live shows are raw and unfiltered — built on blistering solos, roadhouse stompers, and moments of quiet intensity that feel deeply lived-in. At just 25 years old, he plays with the weight and confidence of a seasoned veteran, channeling love, loss, ambition, and survival through every note.
Having shared stages with legends like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Fogerty, Kingfish, and Joe Bonamassa, Garret T. Willie brings a level of fire and authenticity that leaves rooms buzzing long after the final chord. Expect blues that bite, rock that roars, and a performance that turns first-time listeners into believers.
