SUMMARY:LEITH ROSS
DESCRIPTION:I Can See the Future Tour\nwith special guest Wyatt C. Louis \nThis show is SOLD OUT! Click here to join the waitlist. \nHailing from a small town near Ottawa\, Ontario\, singer-songwriter Leith Ross (they/them) channels their honest and emotional storytelling through introspective lyrics and a blend of indie folk with alternative and rock sounds. \nIn 2020\, they first introduced their artistry and independently released their debut Motherwell EP. Recorded live\, it received widespread praise from tastemakers and fans alike. They continued to evolve with their viral singles “I’d Have To Think About It” and “We’ll Never Have Sex\,” while also maintaining their momentum with a rising social presence. Signing to Republic Records in 2022 lead to their long awaited debut album To Learn the following year. As with all of their music\, the songs on To Learn are deeply personal and take them to vulnerable places\, exploring themes like queerness\, love\, relationships\, and mental health and rendered in folk-adjacent tones—sometimes with a pop beat or a rock riff\, sometimes with just their voice and their guitar alone. \nClosing out 2023\, they unveiled the deluxe version To Learn\, More\, including live versions of fan favorites “(You) On My Arm\,” “Orlando\,” and “To Learn.” Critical acclaim followed from the likes of NME\, CLASH\, Them.\, Ones To Watch\, and The FADER\, who hailed them as “your new obsession.” Beyond tours with Lord Huron\, Bahamas\, and Helena Deland\, they sold out headline shows worldwide\, performed at festivals across North America\, and received the inaugural “John Prine Songwriter Fellowship” at 2022’s Newport Folk Festival and a nomination for “Alternative Album of the Year” at 2024’s Juno Awards. Now\, with over 450 million streams across their catalogue to date\, they return with the new emotionally charged single “Grieving\,” heralding a highly anticipated new album helmed by hit producer Rostam (Vampire Weekend). \nWalking the line between genres like an easy path rather than a tightrope\, carried by textural and ethereal songs lifted up by stunning vocals\,  Wyatt C. Louis’ debut album Chandler refers to simply their middle name. Louis (they/he)\, a Plains Cree singer-songwriter born and raised in parts of Treaty Six\, now lives in Moh’kinstsís (Blackfoot name for Calgary) and lets that amalgamation of place shine through on these tracks\, some of which came to life in the quiet and contemplative days of deep pandemic lockdown. Out via Royal Mountain Records\, Chandler is suffused with a soft comfort that glows with feelings of familiarity and ease. Louis found levity through collaboration. A new experience\, the result is upbeat yet cozy\, the kind of songs that show off Louis’ contradictions of paying homage to the country music ingrained in the geography of their childhood\, with an indie and roots spin that makes it something different. \nPricing\nTier 1 $60.21 ($50.00 base price + $2.36 CIF + $7.85 service charge)\nTier 2 $42.96 ($35.00 base price + $2.36 CIF + $5.60 service charge) \nAll above prices are in CAD and include GST. \n— \nMary Irwin Theatre at the Rotary Centre for the Arts event tickets include a $2.36 Capital Improvement Fee (CIF). A service fee is added for box office costs\, card processing\, and taxes. Leith Ross tickets and their applicable fees are non-refundable.

SUMMARY:FLUX
DESCRIPTION:Musicians Trina Basu and Arun Ramamurthy perform stunning\, meditative violin duets that draw on Indian classical music\, Western chamber music\, and jazz improvisation. The performance is preceded by Maktub: Ashes to Alchemy\, a dance choreographed and performed by Vidya Kotamraju. \nHusband and wife violinists Trina Basu and Arun Ramamurthy reimagine the possibilities of string chamber music. Their sound is intimate yet expansive\, rooted in South Indian classical music\, Western classical traditions\, and jazz. Their improvisational fluency allows their violins to intertwine seamlessly\, creating music that feels both ancient and contemporary. \nTheir debut album\, Nakshatra (SPINSTER 2023)\, named after the Sanskrit word for constellation\, explores the balance between individual expression and collective harmony. As The New Yorker writes\, their music is “free-flowing and globe-spanning.” The Guardian calls Nakshatra “a gorgeously ruminative listen\, blending the traditions of folk and South Indian Carnatic music with heavenly improvisation.” \nOpening the evening is Maktub: Ashes to Alchemy\, a striking solo by Vancouver-based dance artist Vidya Kotamraju. Blending Bharata Natyam\, global music\, and contemporary movement\, the piece is inspired by The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and shaped by themes of migration\, identity\, and transformation. With voice\, projections\, and the haunting NAVTAR® instrument\, Vidya creates an emotionally charged performance that bridges tradition and innovation. \nFor more information\, visit: https://www.vidyadance.com/\nIG and FB: @vidyakotamraju

SUMMARY:Che Aimee Dorval
DESCRIPTION:Canadian artist Ché Aimee Dorval offers a sonic escape—an immersive cinematic journey where late-night trip-hop\, airy dream pop\, and laid-back electronica drift together with a touch of alt-indie edge. With sleek production reminiscent of Goldfrapp\, Bonobo’s organic pulse\, and Lana Del Rey’s moody allure\, Ché crafts a soundtrack for those chasing city lights and after-hours reveries. Step into her world\, where every beat paints a scene and every melody tells a story. \nIn 2023\, Ché was featured on a haunting duet with Gord Downie (The Tragically Hip) and made guest appearances on Devin Townsend’s Lightwork\, setting the stage for her third solo album\, The Crowned\, co-produced by Bob Rock (Metallica). Clash Magazine praised the record for “fusing pop\, soul\, and indie elements to produce something potent and original\,” while Knotfest called the standout track “Falling Under” a “timeless earworm.” \nFresh off a busy year of touring in 2024 to support The Crowned\, Ché channeled her passion for alt-pop and synthwave into a new body of work that promises to push her signature sound even further. This spring\, she’ll release new material that marks the next step in her ongoing evolution as an artist. \nFor more information\, visit: https://www.cheaimeedorval.com/
