DESCRIPTION:Join us for the second year of Music in the Mountains\, an unforgettable live music experience set high in the alpine. \nEnjoy incredible performances surrounded by panoramic mountain views\, fresh alpine air\, and the unmistakable Big White summer vibe. This isn’t your typical concert — getting there is part of the adventure. \nYour journey begins with a scenic ride on the Bullet Express Chairlift. From the top of the lift\, you can settle in and enjoy the music right away\, or take a short walk along Peak Trail to discover stunning viewpoints where you can relax and take in the sounds of summer in the mountains. \nSurrounded by breathtaking scenery\, vibrant wildflowers\, and the peaceful energy of the alpine\, Music in the Mountains offers a truly unique blend of live music and natural beauty. \nWhether you’re here for the music\, the views\, or the adventure of getting there\, this is a mountain experience you won’t want to miss. \nWhat to Bring \nThis is a true alpine experience\, so please come prepared! \n\n\nA camp chair or blanket to sit on \n\n\nWater and snacks (there are no amenities on-site) \n\n\nWeather-appropriate clothing – it can be cooler at elevation \n\n\nSunscreen and a hat – there’s limited shade up top \n\n\nGood walking shoes – the 1.5km hike is gentle but uneven and steep in places \n\n\nPlease note: This is a pack-in\, pack-out event. Let’s work together to keep the alpine pristine. \n  \nLeila Naderi is a powerhouse vocalist\, pianist\, composer\, and arranger reclaiming her given name\, mixed heritage\, and artistic identity in modern alt-jazz and soul. Her debut six-track studio album\, Of Roses & Royalty\, was engineered by Vancouver’s Jeff Zipp\, mastered by 21-time Grammy winner Howie Weinberg\, and funded by Creative BC and the Government of British Columbia. Offering “Jazz Adjacent” arrangements of original R&B-soul tunes\, her music blends virtuosic piano\, wild vocal runs\, and evocative lyrics that explore love\, death\, violation\, defeat\, and resilience with humour and heart. Raised in the arts through acclaimed choirs and conservatory training\, she now directs the Kelowna Rock Choir\, created Festival Kelowna’s Pianos in the Parks\, and leads vocal programs and workshops across the region. In 2026\, she joins the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra to perform her original arrangements at Kelowna Community Theatre. \n
