DESCRIPTION:Penticton Peach Festival is five days of free family fun including music\, entertainment\, parades\, sandcastle competition\, RPR Heating PeachDuro bike race\, Home Hardware Kids Zone\, food and goods vendors\, and so much more. Peach Fest is an annual South Okanagan Valley tradition\, which began in 1947\, to celebrate the peach harvest in Penticton\, British Columbia\, Canada. The festival always begins the Wednesday after the B.C. long weekend and closes after the last act on the following Sunday.

SUMMARY:Okanagan Guitar Festival – Tejay Liao & Catherine Huo
DESCRIPTION:The 5th annual Okanagan Guitar Festival returns to Kelowna August 6–8 with three stellar classical guitar concerts featuring festival favourites\, award-winning virtuosos and a remarkable teen prodigy. All concerts are held at the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and All Angels\, 608 Sutherland Avenue. \nAugust 8 – Catherine Huo is a 14-year-old guitar prodigy and a rising star. Described as a ‘huge talent\, she has already won numerous international awards and competitions\, often beating out young pros in adult categories. Last summer\, she came in first in Calgary’s Guitar Fest West competition\, cementing her appearance in this years festival. Catherine’s performance will be inspiring and memorable! \nFestival favourite Tejay Liao returns to perform the first half of this concert. Tejay is a young guitarist merging science and art in his approach and technique. HIs programming choices are unique and his playing has been praised as sensitive and technically brilliant. \nTime: 7:00 pm\, doors open 6:40. Single concert tickets $30 general admission / $20 concession (senior\, student & youth). Full festival passes $60 / $40.
