Voices in Bloom
Opera Kelowna is proud to present an evening of beautiful arias and ensembles featuring students from the Opera Department of the University of British Columbia Vancouver. Co-hosted by Nancy Hermiston, Director of the UBC Opera Department, and Rosemary Thomson, Artistic Director of Opera Kelowna, and with piano accompaniment from Wenwen Du, this musical bouquet will present audience favourites from great operatic hits of Mozart, Puccini, and Verdi to the operetta bonbons of Franz Lehar and Johann Strauss.
Proceeds from this performance will go to support Opera Kelowna’s Valley Opera Summer Intensive (VOSI) emerging artist program & UBC Vancouver’s Opera Department.
