THE SYMPHONY TELLS A STORY

If you’ve never been to a symphony concert before, this 50-minute concert for children and adults alike is the perfect way to “dip your toe in the water.” With excerpts from Beethoven to Star Wars, and a musical adaptation of Roch Carrier’s classic Canadian tale, The Hockey Sweater, this introduction to the symphony and storytelling through music offers a dynamic blend of culture, history, and imagination. It’s perfect for sparking curiosity and musical appreciation in the young and the young at heart!
It’s also your opportunity to see how the OSO introduces live orchestral music to Okanagan elementary students. The Orchestra is joined by local radio personality Phil Johnson as narrator for The Hockey Sweater.
